Mission & Vision
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Provide a world-class Club Experience that ensures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
Academic Success | Healthy Lifestyles | Positive Citizenship
As the premier youth development organization in Tarrant County, our overarching goal is attained by focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyle initiatives and positive citizenship. The Club provides quality programs for more than 23,000 youth through strategically located branches and outreach initiatives. No child or teen is ever turned away from a Boys & Girls Club; rather they are welcomed.
Our values define how we as an organization think and work strategically with a laser focus on the wellbeing and success of the kids we have the privilege of serving. We have the COURAGE to make difficult decisions and protect all we serve. We CHALLENGE ourselves and each other to imagine all possibilities. We think and act BOLDLY to purposefully grow our mission.
The safety of the kids we serve is our organization’s number one priority. Child safety is an official accountability on every one of our position descriptions, and all staff undergo rigorous and consistent training to learn and reinforce our evidence-based best practices and procedures.Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is committed to providing high quality programs and services to Club members in a way that makes them feel a sense of belonging and connectedness and emotionally and physically safe.
In an effort to ensure maximum safety and security for Club members in our facilities, we have partnered with generous donors and award-winning architects to renovate Club entrances. The innovative reconfiguration of the Clubs include a vestibule area, housing a front desk staff to provide a warm welcome, advanced technology with biometric check-in and check-out systems and most importantly, an additional barrier to the entrance of programming spaces.
The North Fort Worth renovation was among the first Club vestibules to be finished and received a national level American Institute of Architects Small Project Award. Our architect on the project was Bart Shaw.
