We are deeply grateful for the individuals, companies and organizations who have stepped forward to support our COVID-19 relief efforts. Together we have made a tremendous impact on Tarrant County families who need us. As summer approaches, we must continue to be agile and adaptable so we can offer the most relevant solutions at any given time

How You Can Help

How you can help

Our critical need is unrestricted financial support to fund key operations that are being implemented as COVID-19 relief efforts. With fundraising events being canceled and cash reserves depleting, BGCGTC’s efforts to raise critical funds in other ways are limited.

Our goal is simple: to enable Club members to achieve substantially better outcomes in the areas of academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. We will not lose sight of our mission even in these unprecedented times. Just like our Club members need us now more than ever…. We need you now more than ever.

Your financial support means we can continue to serve Club members in the time of COVID-19 in the following ways:

On-Site Youth Programs

The Clubs have always been able to play a significant role in helping kids to stay on grade level during the summer and enter the new school year ready to excel. Research is clear, summer and after school programs at BGCGTC address social, emotional and educational deficits among our county’s most challenged youth 25% better than the national average. As we look ahead to the summer challenges have become more profound as the basic structures of school, jobs, after school programs, churches and other countless institutions have grown silent in the lives of children. The Club must remain consistent

BGCGTC will open five traditional Club owned locations to provide youth programs this summer.

  • Serve up to 63 children, prioritizing kids ages 6 to 12, per site per day and enrolled by the week
  • Maintain small group staff to child ratios of 1:10 per program space
  • Require implementing regular health screening practices for all participants and staff
  • Require extensive cleaning and disinfecting protocols to ensure safety

Please consider making a gift to sponsor a child for a week of programming at the Club for $190.

Curbside Meal Distribution

BGCGTC began daily curbside meal distribution at seven locations to Tarrant County Families on March 22, 2020. In  many cases, the lines generated at the distributions are over a mile long, double-stacked. After eight weeks of food distribution, BGCGTC’s consistent role in meeting this need is more critical than ever as we look ahead to the summer months. Financial support is urgently needed to support this effort through the end of the summer. Phase 2 Curbside Meal Distribution impact includes:

  • Continue daily meal service at 7 Club sites
  • Serve at least 1,500 meals per day for a projected 10 weeks
  • 30 food bank distributions totaling 220 pounds of food
  • Regular grocery and food bank distributions

We will need to secure operating gifts totaling $207,246 to continue and expand curbside meal distribution through August 7, 2020

Mobile Meal Distribution

Relying solely on location based curbside food service assumes that everyone who is hungry can make it to a food line or pantry. That is not the case. With summer, the role school districts play in providing food for kids is shifting, adding increased responsibility on BGCGTC to meet feeding needs creatively and in a way that removes barriers.  BGCGTC is prepared and, in fact, already acting to launch Phase 2 of the feeding program, with the addition of Mobile Food Distribution in concentrated communities where children are not accessing food. Utilizing the more than 20 immediately available BGCGTC mini-buses, the mobile food program will:

  • Provide daily meal distribution during the summer where children need it
  • Anticipate serving 250 meals per route

We need more support to continue to do this. We will need to secure $218,960 to repurpose BGCGTC mini-buses and execute the Mobile Food Program
