Club Programs

Key Program Offerings

As Tarrant County schools adjust their 2020-2021 school plans, we too are adjusting the way we serve to ensure the safety and health of our youth, families and community. Club leadership are staying on top of the up-to-date information from the Centers For Disease Control, public health departments, and other local authorities. Below you will find our current key program offerings which focus on the social and emotional well-being of our youth.

Back 2 Basics Learning Centers

To help support our Club members navigate learning remotely, BGCGTC will open four locations as Boys & Girls Clubs B2B school day learning centers. 

The B2B Learning Centers will operate for the first eight weeks, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. through Friday, October 9, 2020, for students grades K-12.

Register by location below. 

  • Safe, clean facilities that practice social distancing and mask wearing for all members
  • Internet access to log in to virtual classrooms 
  • Staff support to aid assignment completion and submission
  • Lunch and afterschool snack provided daily
  • Daily physical fitness and health programs to complement school day learning
  • Prevention and counseling specialists available to provide social and emotional support services
  • After school program services available Monday – Friday until 6:00 p.m. daily

Pre-College Programs

Educational Talent Search (ETS)
and Upward Bound (UB)

We are providing intensive pre-college services to low income and potential first generation college students, resulting in successful strategies for entering and completing a postsecondary education.

Educational Talent Search (ETS) Program

  • Virtual programming, case management, and academic support supplements
  • Academic support and tutoring services are on-demand and virtual
  • Virtual STEM and targeted enrichment experiences

Upward Bound (UB) Program 

  • Virtual programming, case management, and academic support supplements
  • Academic support and tutoring services are on-demand and virtual

  • Virtual STEM, short courses, and academic enrichment

Prevention and Counseling

We are providing prevention education and social emotional learning skills to youth and adults and individual and group counseling for youth.

  • Virtual prevention activities supplementing food distribution
  • Virtual counseling available by appointment
  • Distribution of social and emotional support resources catered to youth and teens

Music & Youth

This unique program is designed to use music as a method to provide youth development support primarily to teens but offers programming to young as 10. 

  • Virtual instrument and vocal music classes (Group and Individual)
  • Virtual music production classes
  • Virtual music performance

Comin' Up Gang Intervention

We are continuing to provide programming and case management services that positively impact the lives of at-risk and gang-involved youth to reduce the level of gang violence in the City of Fort Worth.

  • Virtual programming, outreach, and recruiting
  • Virtual academic support and tutoring services on-demand 

  • Case management
