The Club Experience: On Demand

Our doors are closed, but the Club is in session!

As a staff, we are practicing social distancing and washing our hands frequently. All of our clubs have been thoroughly sanitized and disinfected so that we are prepared to open our doors when we can. In the meantime, we are changing the way we serve our kids, families and the community at large. Club leadership are staying on top of the up-to-date information from the Centers For Disease Control, public health Departments, and other local authorities. For your time at home, our youth development experts have put together a list of resources to keep kids' minds and bodies active.

Making sure every child has a meal

In coordination with our partners, law enforcement and local food banks, BGCGTC is providing dinner-time meal distribution to current members at select locations. We are expecting a significant and increasing response from members and families and we are committed to making sure BGCGTC families are aware of all the food distribution available across Tarrant County.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County's Meal Distribution

BGCGTC is providing curbside meal distribution at dinner time at seven locations. On Fridays, families receive groceries for the weekend . These prepared meals and groceries are supplied through the USDA feeding program and Tarrant Area and Metroplex Food Banks.

More information and contact information can be found here.

A few important notes:

  • We will serve as many members as possible, but meal service is limited and will thus be on a first come-first serve basis for as long as food supplies last.
  • Each car is eligible to receive individually packaged meals and snacks as they are made available to the organization. Depending on availability, additional donated items may be handed out as well. All items are subject to availability.

    Distance Learning Support

Club staff are diligently ensuring that ongoing support continues during this disruptive time in Club members’ lives. Using distance technology, Club members are able to access their favorite programs anytime! While the support is not as robust as the in-person Club Experience, this familiar connection to a trusted person and familiar programming is vital, especially for teens.

Club Members: Just like you rotate to and from different programs at the Club, choose a section a day for fun, engaging activities put together by your favorite Club staff.
